Holiday Field Trip

Dear Parents,

We will be going to the Dr. Eugene Clark Library to listen to a Christmas story and enjoy some hot cocoa on, December 11th. We will leave the school between 8:30 and 8:45 a.m.  The bus will drop us off at the library and then return us to school.  Please complete the permission slip sent in your child's folder and return it as soon as possible in order for your child to attend the Christmas Story reading at the library.

We are looking forward to a fun and safe day!

We had a Friendship Feast today, just like the Pilgrims and Indians did a long time ago!

We made Native American vests and head dresses!

We even had a pilgrim visit our classroom!
We shared our fruit with our friends in Ms. Cano and Mrs. Contreras' class.
 We all sat together!

Native Americans

Native Americans lived in villages and hunted for food.

Our Native American Dioramas

We have learned a lot about Native Americans.
They knew how to do lots of things like:
-how to send messages from hill to hill
-how to make plants grow better
-how to keep food from spoiling
-how to start a fire without matches
-how to drill holes
-how to make paints and dyes
-how to use the moon as a calendar

It was fun to learn about Native Americans.
