Fun with Letter "T" and TORNADOS

We met this week's Quirkle friend, Timothy Tornado! "The thing Timothy does best is teach his friends about tornados and tornado safety." We learned that a tornado begins when a cold air mass blows over a warm air mass. We filled a bottle with water, added two drops of dish detergent and a teaspoon of glitter. We took turns turning the bottle upside down and rotating it in a clockwise motion. We found that the circular motion of the bottle created the appearance of a tornado. Tornados can be very dangerous! We learned how to stay safe in a tornado by taking cover!!!
