COLOR DAYS

We are planning to make reading more colorful by learning to recognize the color words.  On each special color day listed below, please have your child wear an article of clothing of that color.  Listed below are the dates for each color.  We hope this will be a fun project for your child!

(Friday is Clifford's birthday!  Wear RED for Clifford!)

We love KINDERGARTEN!  We have had a lot of fun this week! 

It was fun learning about Clifford the Big Red Dog.  We also learned about our school!  It is important to listen and follow the rules so that we can learn!

We are excited about starting a new week!  Don't forget that Monday is a holiday!  Hoping that everyone has a fun and relaxing weekend!

We love to READ!

Today we met our school librarian, Mrs. Stalbaum.  

We are excited about visiting the library each week.  Our first library day will be next Tuesday.  Each Tuesday students will visit the library for a short story-time.  After students become acquainted with the library they will begin checking out books.  Students may choose a new book each week as long as they return their old book.  We are super excited about checking out books!  

Super Star of the Week

Each week we will have one student from our class who will be the “star of the week”.  The “star” will get to have special privileges and help with jobs in our classroom.  The star of the week may have someone special come and eat lunch with us.  Our lunch time is 12:00-12:30.  The star student will be bringing home the Super Star bag for the weekend on Friday.  Please be sure to send it back on Monday for our next Star Student to enjoy.  We will continue until everyone has had a chance to be the star!!

We are already learning a lot in SCHOOL!  

Today we visited Ms. Nixon, our school principal.  We learned that when we come to school we have to follow rules in order to be safe!  We also learned that we can have lots of fun!

We had fun visiting Mrs. Rutledge, our Assistant Principal!

 Ms. Guenther is our school nurse!

 Mr. Clark is our school counselor!  He will help us learn how to be nice to our friends!

We can't wait until tomorrow!

1st Day of Kindergarten

We made it!  We had a blast on our 1st day!

 We played a game to learn our names!!

 We had fun outside!

We learned about centers in our room!

We all had "Jitter Juice" to take our 1st day jitters away and we enjoyed our snacks!

Best of all...we made new friends!

We had a great day and we're ready to do it again tomorrow!!

Kindergarten: Here we come!!!

It was very exciting to meet all those bright and shiny faces at Carver Meet and Greet!
