We were so excited to have some important people come to our room as well as "Bruiser" the Brahma Bull!

What's in the "Surprise Sack"?

Kindergarten is a great place for learning and exploring!  It is also a good time to practice listening and speaking skills!  Each student will have a chance to take home our class "Surprise Sack"!  They will be able to bring something special to school and tell all about it!  We have had lots of fun making predictions about what was in the surprise sack.  We have had some really unique treasures.  Thanks to our parents for helping your child be an active participant in our classroom!  We look forward to more fun surprises!

 

SUPER STAR OF THE WEEK

 Our 1st Super Star!

Each week we will have one student from our class who will be the "star of the week".  The "star" will get to do special privileges and jobs for our classroom.  Your child will be bringing home the Super Star bag for the weekend on Friday.  You may take pictures and make a scrapbook page in order for your child to show and tell how they spent their weekend with Clifford.  

Please be sure to send it back on Monday for our next Super Star to enjoy.  

We will continue until everyone has had a chance to be the star!!

We have had a "Bright Beginning"!

We are off to a great start!  I know it is going to be a fantastic year! Thanks to all the parents who came to Meet the Teacher night.  It was so nice to meet all my students and their families.  All students are doing well and making friends.  We are in the process of learning the 6 Simple Rules at Hallettsville Elementary as well our classroom procedures and routines. 

Please remember to return all of your child's forms as well as our class blog permission form.  I am excited to begin making regular posts in order to share what is happening in our classroom.  We are getting ready for some fun learning.  Please remember to check your child's folder each night for notes and homework.  Your help is greatly appreciated and together we will help your child succeed!!!!

Beginning a new year!

Mrs. Janak is ready for Kindergarten!!!

I am beginning my 11th year as a kindergarten teacher. I am excited to begin my 1st year at Hallettsville Elementary School. I graduated from Texas A&M University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Interdisciplinary Studies in the field of early childhood education. I also hold a Masters of Education in Leadership and Policy Studies. I enjoy spending time with my family. I am married to my wonderful husband, Barron Janak. We have two young children. Our daughter, Ella, will be a 1st grader this year and our son, Davis, is a busy toddler. We are all excited about beginning a new year in Hallettsville. I am looking forward to working with your child this year. I know with your help it is going to be a great year!!!!
