We know a lot about Mm!  We had fun this week making our moms and reading about moose, mice and monsters!

Today we made mud pies!

Rocks and Stones
Spoons to stir!
(Don't forget the soap for afterwards!)

YUM YUM!

We also met the QUIRKLES today!   The quirkles are unique little scientists who have big imaginations and love to experiment!  They went to a land called Boresville to share their discoveries with the creatures that lived there.  Boresville was very BORING!  The creatures of Boreville loved the 26 Quirkles from A-Z so much that they changed the name of their land to Quirksville.

Today we met Mary Motion!
She is always moving!

Mary Motion taught us about force and energy!
We know that in order for something to move their must be force or energy!

We tried Mary Motion's Marble Race experiment!

We set up two ramps using blocks.

One ramp was twice as steep as the other one.

We rolled the marbles down the two ramps at the same time.

Then we observed to see how far each marble traveled.

The marble that rolled down the steepest ramp traveled the farthest.

The higher the ramp, the more energy the marble has to change to motion.

This was a lot of  fun!

We learned that kinetic energy means "motion".

Ready, set, go!

We even tried it with two of the same cars!

The car on the steepest ramp still won!

We like our new science friends and can't wait to meet Timothy Tornado next week!
