From Tadpoles to Frogs

We have three new friends in our room!  Larry, Mo and Curly are tadpoles!  Ms. Limmer shared her tadpole friends with us and now we are their new caretakers!  We also learned the difference between frogs and toads!  We learned that frogs are slick and smooth and have to live in the water.  Toads are bumpy and dry and don't have to live in water, but they need to live near water.  We learned that frogs and toads come in all sizes!

Ms. Limmer went hunting and came back with a whole collection of frogs and toads!  We had fun looking at them!  We learned that frogs are good jumpers and toads hop and crawl.

We are excited about watching our tadpoles grow!

We have been learning about the "H" BROTHERS!  SH, CH, WH, and TH!

We can read words like shop and chip!  We know how to ask questions like what, when, where and why!  We especially enjoyed learning about "TH" this week.  We know that mother makes the "th" sound!  We made our  mothers a special gift and had fun making a list of all the things our mothers do for us!  We hope all of our "mothers" have a very special day on Mother's Day!

A little "Q" and "U" review....QUack, QUack, QUack!

We are having fun watching these ducklings grow!
Thanks to Ms. Limmer for adding new friends to Carver!

We like to feed the ducks!

We think they are too cute!

We are learning about plants and how they grow!  "Mr. E", our teaching helper from the high school came today.  We had fun reading about seeds and making our very own "sprout house"!  We can't wait to see if our seeds grow!

We planted a Gerber Daisy in our school garden!
We know that plants need soil, water and sun to grow!
